Michael Le Page is an Australian composer/engraver living in Perth, WA. Born in 1983 in St Louis, USA, he arrived in Perth at the age of 3. A cellist and a dancer, Michael takes joy in the music of Bach, Mozart, the impressionist and early-20th century composers, as well as Jazz, Musical Theatre, Film Soundtracks, Techno/Trance and Latin-influenced music like Mambo (New York style salsa) and Tango Electronica.
Michael’s life interests are diverse: he is currently a PhD student at the University of Western Australia, investigating the role particular genetic mutations play in human immunology. In 2007-08, he travelled back to the USA, and then onwards to South America on a 5 and a half month trip of a lifetime. Above all, Michael enjoys projects which engage both the creative and technical parts of his mind, be it through experimental design in research, musical composition, working up concepts which implement new technology, or navigating his way to the next adventure!
